Cape Town (29 May 2009)
It was a typical Cape Town cloudy, rainy winter's day when we boarded the City-Tour Bus. It departed from the Aquarium at the Waterfront and we were lucky to get the best seats - on top, in front and under the covered section.

It is a most convenient way of seeing the city and surrounds since the bus crisscrosses the city. It also gives the passengers the opportunity to get off and on at certain interesting stops along the way, including the cable car station and some popular beaches.

Informative recorded commentary is offered in English and various foreign languages to enhance the experience. For example, did you know that the grain silo at the harbour (close to the Clock tower) was at the time of its construction the second tallest structure on the continent? Or have you ever seen the two benches in front of the High Court - one for 'Whites only', the other 'Non-Whites only'? Another place that might be overlooked is Nobel Square. Can you guess where it is located and the different people and elements incorporated?

The answer to this and much more information will soon be available in the Cape Town Component of our Western Cape Course.
